INTRODUCTION
Ducati Corse was created with the main aim of uniting all the sporting activities of Ducati under one roof, thus guaranteeing a flexible and modern organisation, which is able to make the best use of advanced technologies. Ducati Corse is directed by Claudio Domenicali and is based inside the Borgo Panigale factory. Today, more than one hundred people work in Ducati Corse (almost 10% of the Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A. workforce), split amongst the following departments:
  • Technical
  • Sporting
  • Commercial Activities
  • Marketing/Communication

TECHNICAL RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
This area is directed by Filippo Preziosi and is divided into two working teams, responsible for the design and development of the motorcycles that compete in the MotoGP and Superbike championships.





SPORTING ACTIVITIES
This area directly regards the factory teams that take part in the MotoGP and Superbike championships and is strongly results-orientated. The SBK and MotoGP teams are organized as follows:
  • A Project Manager
  • A Technical Director, who is in charge of a track engineer, an electronics engineer and four mechanics for each rider

COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES
Ducati Corse provides private teams with highly competitive bikes. These are actually produced with a similar technical specification to the factory bikes. Besides the Superbikes and spare parts, Ducati Corse provides consultancy services and technical assistance that enable racing customers to take part in the World Superbike Championship and in national Superbike championships. From 2004 Ducati Corse also follows a satellite team in MotoGP, supplying bikes and technical support together with a dedicated engineer.

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION
A further goal is to increase and manage the Ducati brand image in racing and to demonstrate our ability to evaluate our partners’ investments by creating communication opportunities. To accomplish this goal we have set up a marketing department dedicated to competition, through which we support our partners in all communication activities linked to the partnership. We have also created our own official merchandising line to support our partners with co-branding and co-marketing activities.
